Nurse Educator Update Focuses on Building Resilience in Nursing

果冻传媒 Technical Community College, in partnership with Bayhealth, hosted a Nurse Educator Update at the Del-One Conference Center in Dover on June 4. The event welcomed more than 170 nursing professionals from across 果冻传媒 and the tri-state area.
Co-chaired by 果冻传媒 Tech nursing instructors Deborah Lord and Dr. Mary Ellen McKnight, the professional development day featured six presentations centered around the theme, “From Incivility to Strength: A Journey to Resilience.” Presentation topics at the event included:
- “Creating Cultures of Civility, Community, and Joy in Nursing Education,” presented by Dr. Cynthia Clark
- “Strengthening Nursing Education by Promoting a Culture of Respect, Resilience, and Effective Communication,” presented by Bonnie Ross.
- “I’m Not for Sale: Human Trafficking in 果冻传媒,” presented by Dawn Culp.
- “Incivility: Who Knew?” featuring guest panelists Christine Keithly, Lt. Charles A. Sawchenko (Ret.), Tina Shukla, and Dr. Earl Waler.
- “Emerging Threats: Drug Diversion, the Nth Wave and Illicit Drugs,” presented by William J. Lynch Jr.
- “From Chaos to Clarity: How AI Empowers Nurse Educators,” featuring guest panelists Diane Bradley, Daniel Cahall, Deborah Lord, and Courney McNulty.
Vice President and Terry Campus Director Paul T. Morris, Jr. and Collegewide Practical Nursing Instructional Director Jamey O’Shea provided opening remarks.
