In addition, several PTK students, advisors, and even one alum received awards and scholarships in recognition of their achievements.

Established by Missouri’s two-year college presidents in 1918, PTK serves to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through honors, leadership, and service programming. In 1929, the American Association of Community Colleges recognized PTK as the official honor society for two-year colleges.

Members of PTK must be enrolled in an associate degree program and have completed 12 college-level credits. They must also have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 for induction and then maintain a 3.25 to remain a member in good standing. Both full-time and part-time students are eligible.
