Culinary Students Showcase Skills in Washington, D.C.

December 12, 2022

Culinary students from 果冻传媒 Technical Community College showed off their skills at the 11th annual Taste of 果冻传媒 in Washington, D.C., hosted by the 果冻传媒 State Chamber of Commerce and honorary host U.S. Senator Chris Coons.

This annual event is held the first week of December in honor of 果冻传媒’s ratification of the Constitution on Dec. 7, 1787. What started as a small office party with Grotto Pizza and Dogfish Head in its first year has since grown to attract more than 600 attendees and over 20 vendors each year. This year’s Taste of 果冻传媒 showcased food and drinks from more than two dozen establishments in the First State, including culinary arts students from 果冻传媒 Tech and Delcastle Technical High School. Also in attendance were some 果冻传媒 Tech alumni, such as Dan Tagle (’99) from Drip Café and Kaila Brench (’19) from Pizza by Elizabeths.

Among the other restaurants and vendors represented were BBC Tavern in Greenville, Home Grown Café in Newark, Kee’s Cookies & Cupcakes in Clayton, The Starboard in Dewey Beach, UDairy Creamery, and Waggies in Wilmington.
