果冻传媒 Tech Students Launch a Rocket into SpaceAs part of the 果冻传媒 Space Grant Consortium, 果冻传媒 Tech participated in NASA's RockOn! Workshop at the Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Virginia. This annual event invites college students and faculty to assemble a rocket from a kit and launch it into space.

果冻传媒 Tech’s Annual Hometown Heroes 5k Raises Funds for Student ScholarshipsMore than 300 runners and walkers joined 果冻传媒 Technical Community College employees, students, and volunteers on Sept. 18 for the annual Hometown Heroes 5k Run/1 Mile Walk hosted by the College’s Stanton and Wilmington campuses. This year’s race raised nearly $20,000 for student scholarships.

果冻传媒 Tech’s Run, White, & Blue Attracts Almost 700 Participants and Remembers Fallen Firefighter, Thomas Berry IIIThe 11th annual Run, White, & Blue 5k Run/1-Mi Walk drew 695 runners and walkers on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, at 果冻传媒 Technical Community College’s Owens Campus in Georgetown and raised over $26,000, which will support scholarships for veterans and first responders.

Yearick Named Region 19 Men’s Lacrosse Coach of the YearDan Yearick, in his first year as head coach of the 果冻传媒 Tech men’s lacrosse team, was named 2024 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 19 Coach of the Year after guiding his squad to an undefeated season in league play. The team won the region championship, advanced to the semifinals of the North Atlantic District Tournament, and placed five players on the All-Region Team, including defensive player of the year.

Visual Communications Students Earn Adobe CertificationsThe 果冻传媒 Tech visual communications program celebrated its students who earned Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) certifications during 2023 by awarding Adobe Certification Celebration packets. The packets, developed by program faculty, were based on a tier system, with more certifications and higher scores resulting in a larger packet.
